Reflections of the Council Meeting of 17th September 2020 by Cllr. Jan Fawdry

"As the longest serving remaining Councillor I feel we should congratulate Councillors Allan Fowler and Neil Scoresby for being willing, at so short notice, to accept nomination to step into the positions of Chair and Vice Chair and being duly elected. Both bring a wealth of expertise to the positions.

Allan becomes only the third Chairman in over 30 years. The Council now needs to be open and transparent as it moves forward to deal with the current issues. I also reflect that we need to maintain the viability of the Community Centre. All parishioners should look at the benefits the new management have introduced and give them the full support that they deserve, especially in these uncertain times.

The Council now settles down to producing its budget for 20/21. Some difficult decisions need to be faced and Councillors are resolved to meet the challenges presented."
